Hi, im back yeah, emm wow i was so inactive, but hey you alredy use to it, so what I will talk today well as you see in the title i want to talk about one of my favorite peruvian tradition, La diabalda, is my favorite peruvian tradition, is a big celebration and parade, where many people coordinatly drees as demons and start dancig since morning to 6 o'clock, all in the name of the patron the "Virgen de la candelaria" i like so much, because its a celebration that makes joy infects you and is a festivity where you really can see how united is Peru, but lets beggin.
As far its know this tradition have their orignis in the I century, when a small group called Uru tha live in the highlands of Peru and Bolivia start to dance for one of their gods Tiw whit masks for many of their festivityes, that tradition keep passing until 1603, where many priest start evangelazing highland groups, and one of the ways they evangelize them was by mixing their cultures, respresenting many gods as saints or demons, including Tiw who was protrayed as a demon, who regrets and star benerating to the "Virgen del socabon", and the Urus continue whit their tradition until the Agunstinian inquisition, who obligate them to star hiding their traditions and make them practice in island in the titikaka lake, and finally in the XXIII century that other groups start practicing the traditions but now with the catolyc aspects, and in the century XX was a tradition well pratived by all te highland, and now with their catolyc aspects the church accept it and even start making mass, the tradition now is a dance that represents the figth between the main devil and a Archangel, who after defeat the demon make the demons regret and now they start dancign for the "Virgen de la candelaria" or "Virgen del socabon"... wow that a lot of information haha
Now let see another main aspect, the music and clothing, for this dance they are many types of demons, gorillas, bears, an angel, and even not biblical characters, as the drunk, the rich, and the poor, they are many characters, everyone with their own explanation, and they are many groups dedicated only to make the costumes, for entyre groups who are dedicated to dance, this costumes have changed since the begging, in first being simple mask made with bronce, gold or ceramics and mud, and with simple clothes, but now they are big costums with big iron mask whit a lot of colors and decorations to make it more interesting, and lets dont forget of the music, durgin this festivit they dance folkcloric music but also they bring complete group to play a specific gender of music that is call "Morenada", this gender is play with flokcloric insturments but since the 80 is also commun to use modern instruments and combine its to make it nique music, this tradition was so great that in the 2001 the UNESCO established that this tradion was a Human Patrymony, so now this tradition is world wide assited.
Yeah yeah vey interesting but why you want talk about this, well because is interesting form my and also is a festivity that mark my life, i remember assit with my parents to see it and how some mask kinda scare me, but that make a good memory, and now at my 15 im proud to say that i participate during this and the last year, but yeah this tradition is interesting and you see how many devoted people dance to de Virgen but also atheits people, and its heartbreaking, how this tradition can unity so many people, but i think that ironicly being a Catolyc festivity it promotes a lot the alcohol consume, its strange see how during february many people star to buying beer only for this festivity, but its interesting, other thing i love of this was the coreography, there are simple moves, but the coordination is not, as far as i know many groups prepare 6 months early, with comples coordination to make the best presentation, and see all of that, how this traditions can unite a lot of people its amazing.
In resume, this is one of the best peruvian tradition, with a big story not only in the lore but out of it, how a traticion that is almost 20 century old, still being practiced, and aldo how it represent the mix of culture and religion, in a way it doesnt feel unnatural, also the whole things it envolve whit the costumes the music and being a human patrimony its awasome and also you can have a nice experience whit this celebration and well if you like the beer now you have an excuse, i hope you like today bolg, was a complex one to do and also sorry by my unactivity, school took me a lot of time, but in summer i will be more active, that all and remember...ill be back.
Great job! Next time proofread it though because you have spelling and grammar mistakes. I love the content though and my favorite part is your style of writing...very dynamic and interesting, not to mention very appropriate for the text type.
